Inspired by trips through the south as a child and time spent on the competition BBQ circuit as an adult, Pitmaster John Leonard brings his passion for the most traditional style of all-American food to your home for your next party or event.  Struggletown BBQ has the key ingredient needed for truly memorable food...Love!  Try it once and you'll be back for more.

So...how to order?  Check out our menu pages for some ideas.  But the best way is to simply call me, text me or send me an email using the contact page.  We'll talk about your event and I'll come up with a suggested menu for you to consider.  I am not your traditional caterer.  I only do a limited number of jobs at one time and take great pride in our BBQ and guarantee it will be the best you have ever tasted (unless you've eaten some authentic roadside BBQ on some backwoods road in North Carolina...that might be better.  But not by much!)

WeLCOME TO Struggletown

Where is Struggletown?

About halfway to nowhere and 150 miles south of the nearest city lies a sleepy little town.  The mine closed years ago and those who remain make their living off the land.  The streets are covered with dust and the air is thick with smoke.  That smoke carries the sweet smell of friendship.  No matter how hard the times are, the smoke draws them in.  They gather 'round the fires for the shared experience of conversation and BBQ.  And for a few hours the laughter and companionship melts away the worries.  Next time you're driving through Struggletown, stop and stay a while.  Share some food, have some laughs and enjoy the struggle.  Welcome to Struggletown, because good 'que ain't easy!
